Fully Drawn Yarn

Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) is a type of polyester filament yarn that is produced by a process called polymerization, which involves the reaction of monomers to form long polymer chains. The resulting polymer is then extruded through spinnerets to form continuous filaments, which are then stretched and oriented in a process called drawing.

It can also be produced with different finishes, such as bright, dull, or semi-dull, which can affect the yarn’s appearance and texture.
